Meeting with H.E. Minister Derbas

Teach A Child representatives Zeina El Khalil, Ghada Atallah, Maha Makki and Tala Saad had a fruitful meeting today with H.E. Minister Rashid Derbas at the Ministry of Social Welfare. Minister Derbas commended Teach A Child members for their commitment to education and to child welfare. He promised the full support and continued collaboration of the Ministry through its centers in the various regions of Lebanon. Teach A Child will continue working with the Social Welfare centers to support the education of the children of needy families. The attendees also discussed the law on compulsory education and explained how failure to enforce this law is leading to more and more school drop outs and in consequence child labor and street children.
