Teach a Child at the Higher Council for Childhood

Mrs Zeina El Khalil, with Mrs Lina Assaf and Mrs Ghada Abou Alwan Attallah had a meeting with Dr. Elie Mikhael, the General Secretary of The Higher Council for Childhood, at the Ministry of Social Welfare. Dr. Mikhael gave us an overview on the work that is being done by the council. It was very reassuring to know that all the ministries collaborate together through the council for the well being of children in Lebanon. He also explained to us what is being done on the legal side. New laws are being prepared to guarantee the education of every child. This will solve many problems including street children and child labor. Dr. Mikhael invited us to workshops prepared by the council in the hope of strengthening the links between Teach A Child Organization and the Ministry of Social Welfare.
